We did a survey with NC teachers for a free STRAWS in School Impact Program and over 125 schools signed up in two weeks! To make it possible, we're focusing on 60 NC coastal schools first and crowdfunding until Sept. 14th on WeDidIt via our non-profit sponsor Southern Documentary Fund.
The STRAWS in Schools Impact Campaign will provide FREE to each school: A screening of the award-winning environmental documentary STRAWS; STEM/NGSS approved Lesson Plans for grades 3-12; Director Linda Booker in person and/or Speakers from our partner NGO's with environmental stewardship & plastic waste reduction presentations; two Teacher Workshops hosted by NC Aquariums for credits; Surveys by Sea Change Institute with impact evaluations. Schools keep the DVD forever, multiplying the impact.
